Long explanation is long. Also, sorry if this is in the wrong subcategory.

My girlfriend has pined over these shoes for like a year now, so I decided to buy them for her, but she doesn't know which ones she wants and told me to pick. I know she has asked everyone and their mother to help her pick which ones to no avail.
This is for her birthday [one of the really big ones], so I want to get her other things too, and I figured I would get her a whole matching outfit [which, hopefully, won't be a total idiot-boyfriend-moment, birthday-ruining disaster]. I'm not an idiot and I get that girls need to match their shoes with their outfit. The tricky part? She ONLY wears Steampunk and Lolita style clothing!
So I have two questions:
1. Help a non-fashionable guy find matching items for these shoes [in any color] that would work for those two styles.
2. Do you think she'll be happy with this present or am I risking total failure?
Help a girl match some shoes...?
well i dont completely know your girlfriends style but a pencil skirt like the one in the link below is very stylish and would look good with the shoes. specifically the creme ones.

Reply:i can tell your a really nice guy so its whatever you think
Reply:What color clothes does she have the most of? If she wears alot of pink I'd get the pink shoes, if she prefers black get the black ones....get the ones she has the most clothes to wear with them. (personally, I like the yellow %26amp; blue ones the best)
As far as the outfit...Good Luck!!! It might be easier to buy her the shoes %26amp; then take her shopping for an outfit to go with them. You could make up a nice "I.O.U. Coupon"... good for a shopping spree for the outfit of her choice.
(I've never liked getting clothes as gifts....would rather pick them out myself)
Reply:That's really sweet of you. I would be happy even if the outfit wasn't good looking because that's just a really thoughful thing to do.
And I LOVE your name. That's what I was going to name my kid... if I ever have a boy.
