I have a pair of chocolatey brown alligator heels with really open toes and a low-ish platform. I always think they're peep toes, but really the front part of the shoe is a couple of really, really wide crossing straps. I swear they're not sandals, though. I love these shoes and was thinking of wearing them to a new year's party. I need a new dress.
What kind of dress should I be shopping for?
What kind of dress...?
I often find myself falling in love with a pair of shoes first, and then looking for something to accompany them.
The first thing that popped into my mind is a winter white/off white/beige sweater dress. And it'd be awesome if you could find a chocolate brown alligator belt to match the shoes. Some gold hoops or dangly earrings (or a gold bangle) would be the icing on the cake!
Reply:No, the shoes are not retro. Try a multicolored tea length peasant/gypsie skirt that will not fall too long as to show off a little bit of leg and ankle. Your shoes will show off and they won't be too far off with the skirt a chocolate brown vintage top or a half jacket to match the shoes. I don't like those little jackets but if your into it go for it. How about some funky jewlery to bring out the skirt. My color thoughts are corals, beiges, browns and gold.
Reply:something in the darkest/medium dark dresses and a dress not to textured because it will look to much like the shoes
Reply:i can't realy tell because i don't know ur type of style
Reply:stick to darks. something like black would work (yes, black and brown DO go together for the millionth time...) or a dark blue dress.
heres a hint though... its a lot easier to shop for a dress THEN shoes rather than shoes THEN a dress
but good luck!!
Reply:no idea i hate wearing dressz but don't go over the top you don't wanna look like a christmas tree
Reply:brown cocktail dress, with pretty sequence and a spaghetti strap.
good luck!
Reply:Were a flirty, fluttery black or dark brown mid calf dress. kind of cocktail pary dress. You know? Just go with you own style and you'll do fine.
