How can I get my kids shoes white again?

I can get the leather part clean but the mesh and the fabric parts stay dirty. They got color in them so I can't use bleach. I've washed them in the washing machine, tried scrubbing them with a toothbrush and Spray and Wash and tried several shoe cleaners and none of them worked. What can I do?

There's nothing like a pair of fresh white sneaks.





I clean my the following.





Take some AJAX, or Soft Scrub w/bleach. Don't use direct bleach use something that has bleach.





Take a tooth brush and 409 in the mix and scrub em' up.





DO NOT WASH SHOES IN THE WASHING MACHINE! Big no no.





You don't need special shoe cleaner, that crap doesn't work.





The same stuff you use to scrub your tub is what you want for your shoes.
Reply:Why not try a white shoe polish or better yet a white shoe dye that way you don't have to polish them every time they wear them. You can probably pick this up at any shoe repair store
Reply:mix oxyclean powder with water and make a paste cover the mesh part and let it soak overnight. it works for my shoes
Reply:there is available a shoe white for canvas shoes, called Penguin shoe white, but its not available in Australia, i expect you can get it every where else
