How can I wash my pumas without wrecking the leather?

My leather pumas got dirt water from a lake all on the middle part of the shoes. I really don't want to get rid of them so soon, since I just got them about a month ago. Is there a way I can wash them without ruining them?

Get some saddle soap where they sell shoe care products. It's made for leather and will keep them soft and looking good. If you put them in the washer they get stiff and nasty.
Reply:use some of leather cleaner!!
Reply:ask the manufacturer
Reply:put them in a pillowcase [without laces] and stick them in a washing machine, this should clean them without wrecking them.
