Should I save my greeting cards?

I am a pack rat and am paring my belongings down. I am making a lot of progress, but have difficulty parting with my four shoe boxes of greeting cards and letters sent to me- should I keep these?

Should I save my greeting cards?
I did the same thing. I finally decided to just keep the ones from my grandparents, who are now gone. It's kind of comforting to see their handwriting. A special occasion card should be kept, like wedding, birth of a child, babies first birthday. But, keeping Christmas cards from everyone is ridiculous and takes up too much space. Get rid of those. I just keep an updated list in my draw as to who sent a card. I also keep any pictures that might have been sent with the cards.
Reply:keep the most important ones, put them in a scrapbook, or make a collage or something.
Reply:Just let it go and throw them out. You can't keep everything.
Reply:I keep greeting cards and letters, too. But the ones that are special from friends and relative who are no longer with us go into my memory box. The ones that are just too beautiful to toss, I tear off the inside greeting and use them for all sorts of things. I decorate handled bags to make gift bags by gluing one to each side. This is a great way to recycle department store and boutique store bags. I use them on the top of gift boxes with a ribbon glued either vertically or horizontally underneath the card so I don't have to wrap a gift. And, there are several charities to which I send the card fronts where children make new cards from them to send to the disabled, cancer patients and nursing home residents. And, I use them myself to make Christmas cards every year for the residents in our local nursing home so that they get at least one card to brighten their holidays.
Reply:keep the ones that are dear to your heart from people that you really care about ,because after a while it just gets to be to much
Reply:You could keep the best of them in a scrapbook, but if you want to get rid of them, you could check with elementary schools and senior centers in your area. Sometimes they take used greeting cards to use for crafts, decopage, and the like.
