I'm doing a report about Vans, please help?

I'm doing a report about the shoe Vans, not the vehicle. I think that Vans is a racist company because of the bottom of their shoe showing a Jewish Star being stepped on. If this is incorrect please tell me. I am really angry bout this, since i'm Jewish. Should i include this in my report?

If you dont know what i'm tallking about check this picture of the shoe (Every shoe includes the same bottom part): http://www.rockstarclothing.co.uk/images...

Here you go, my friend. It's just a rumour; since Vans are skate shoes, I imagine that the pattern near the balls of the feet are for better traction.
Reply:Hmmm...are you sure it's portraying it as the Jewish Star being stepped on? Or, I see it this way: it's a positive way of making the star 'memorable' by leaving an imprint all over the landscape, for all to see?
Reply:maybe its just a design
Reply:thats not racist its anti-semetic
Reply:omg... ur so retarded...

thats so that its easier not to slide or trip

its not rasist

Y IS THIS QUESTION IN THIS CATEGORY?
Reply:This is the gay section please move on to the religion section. thank you
Reply:ha wow, never noticed before, and i dont think jewish is a race. so there not racest. and its kinda pushing to call that patterna jewish star really, looks like good traction to me though
Reply:o.O Maybe you shouldn't be angry.

Think about it, maybe they like Jewish people.

Out of all of the other symbols they could've selected, they've chosen the Jewish star to REPRESENT the Vans Shoe company.

And you leave little Jewish Star imprints everywhere. It's advertising a religion into Mother Earth herself!

At least that's what I'd say to be against your report.

Oh, and I'm wearing Vans, and there's no Jewish star.
Reply:your over reacting its just a design for good grip. get over it not all vans have the same design.
Reply:I think you're just overthinking this. It's ridiculous. It's just for grip on the shoe.
Reply:Racism is when you're mean and hurtful against a race. See? Race--ism. Take out the e...

You're in the wrong category. Do people ever check what category they're in? That gets me angry. :(

But whatever. It's antisemitic as one person put it; it's against Jews. You're going a bit too far into it. I would've never seen it as the symbol. I mean, it's a circle and lines to me and it makes me dizzy. Maybe they put it there to say, "We want to put Judaism in the shoe somehow but if we put a big ol' star right in the middle of the shoe, someone will be angry." I doubt it was, "Let's step on Jews." I mean, if they wanted to do it that way, why didn't they put little Nazi symbols everywhere? See, there are a lot of ways to think of it. I think one of the designers just put it in there. I really like the symbol and I'm not of any religion. Include it in your report, if you want. It needs to be backed up a lot, with many more points than, "There's a star. See?"
