Can somebody help me with my ipod nano?

OK, here's the thing i got the 4gb ipod nano and the nike + that you are suppouse to connect the part to the ipod and place the other part in your shoe right ok but when i put the part into the ipod my ipod nano freeze and i cant turn it off icant do absolutely nothing in the ipos and when i put it in itunes doesn't show up... i'm freaking out i miss my ipod and i dont know what to do. i want to fix it by myself with any of your suggestions pleaseee give me suggestions!!!

do a reset. disconnect your iPod from everything. Then hold down the middle button AND the menu button at the same time for about 10 seconds, or untill the apple icon appears on the screen. You shouldn't loose anything by doing this either.
