Are those real american eagle shoes they are sellin' at payless?

i own american eagle shoes that i bought from the actual store. then i found out that american eagle are at payless. but then i noticed that my shoes included the "outfitters" part and the ones at payless didnt. another thing is that i dont believe that American Eagle outfitters which is a hige company would sell their shoes at payless. And another point why do they still sell shoes at the actual store if im wrong?

Are those real american eagle shoes they are sellin' at payless?
I noticed that the other day too, and asked my pal that works at AE. He said that they are actually AE shoes so they aren't fake. They are a different line sold to the Payless manufacture so they are affordable to everyone. They aren't the ones you will find at the actual AE store, just like you can't always find the AE tops and what not at Marshal's and Ross that you can at AE. Many designers are making affordable lines available at chain stores. Think Isaac Mizrahi and Target or Liz Lange (maternity) who designs for Pea in the Pod (a famous store frequented by pregnant celebs). The clothes you find there aren't of course the designers runway pieces but they are in fact the real designers work! Hope that answers it for you!
Reply:Yeah its just that ameican eagle made a special line now just for payless so theyre not the same shoes that are in the actual ae store but theyre the real ae brand and everything
Reply:its still ae, b/c i got clogs from ross for 5 dollars, whereas they are 39.99 at ae! and theyre real too
Reply:i think it is just an off brand. they dont use the outfitters so technically they can get away with a similar name at the payless store.

the real American Eagle sells shoes at their store so people can buy their whole wadrobe their and they can capitalize on a one stop shop deal. havent you noticed they sell basically everything from bras to purses to pjs and jeans? they have it all.
Reply:Well, no, I don't think that American Eagle at Payless and American Eagle Outfitters are the same. They aren't real, but a lot of the times, they're really really cute :)
Reply:Haha, i asked a similar question a few days ago. I bought a cute bag at Payless just last Sunday (and i love it xD). Anyways, I was a bit confused so I asked the question on yahoo. (You can see my question). The anwers were part propaganda, so I did research myself.

From website # 1 (below), it saids that Payless bought American Eagle OUTFITTER'S Shoeline last year. Of course, they're still related, because American Eagle Outiftters designed thoes specific lines of shoes for Payless. Weird though, when I emailed Payless customer service, it saids "they have no afflication with AE outiftters". They also said that AE outfitters ocasionally have shoes sold, but AE shoes at payless aren't sold at AE outfitter shoes, and vice versa. But my cousin works at AE as a manager and says they're related. And yes, i get alot of cute AE clothes xD Hope this helps :)

Oh yes, I don't think it's all bad that Payless is selling AE shoes...after all, who doesn't wantn to save a few dollars? Their shoese and bags are quite cute :)
Reply:Payless is trying to become a little more hip and upscale. They bought the rights to sell American Eagle brand shoes. They aren't the same ones that are sold in AE stores though. It's similar to the way that designer Isaac Mizrahi created a line of clothes exclusively for Target stores. You can still by high-end Isaac Mizrahi couture and designer duds at his boutiques and in nicer stores. The cheaper Mizrahi stuff is only available at Target and nowhere else. That's why the cheaper AE shoes from Payless are not also available at American Eagle Outfitters stores.
Reply:No, any shoes at payless that look like real shoe brands are not real. They are an imitation.
Reply:yeah i saw that too.

but they are a different brand.
