What is the strongest tape besides duct tape?

Part of my shoe fell off, and I need to put it back on. Everything I use doesn't work because it keeps falling off. What is the best thing that I can use?

What is the strongest tape besides duct tape?
Try glue vs. tape. And if that doesn't work, take your poor shoe to the shoe repair store! It could need professional assistance to get it back together.
Reply:the reinforced packing tape that has the "ribs" going through it. Al;so a military surplus store might have military grade duct tape. its stronger than the stuff from home depot
Reply:this is not tape, but i would use a hot glue gun
Reply:There's also Gorilla tape it's similar to duct tape. 3M makes a tape that will fasten metal together but it's about $100 a roll. A polyurethane glue such as Gorilla glue, Titebond or the Ace brand will probably work the best, but these all expand (foam much like the Great Stuff insulation).
Reply:Gorilla Glue is awesome. Most hardware and Wal-Mart or Target stores carry it.
Reply:Shoe repair stores sell SHOE GOO to repair tennis shoes. It is essentially a silicone product. If you are trying to repair other than a tennis shoe go to a shoe repair shop.
Reply:Reinforced packing tape
