Pointe shoes?
believe it or not...the hard part of your pointe shoes is made up of layers of cardboard and glue. many people think it is wood. imagine how much that would hurt...

Reply:um the standing on the tip of your toes we dont use any padding in ares b/c we can feel the floor better
Reply:it's a box in the tip of the shoe
Reply:There are actually two hard parts of a pointe shoe. The bottom part which is hard is called the shank. It can be ordered in a variety of hardness. There are soft shanks for more advanced students, and medium and hard shanks for the less advanced. There is the tip of the pointe shoe called the box which can be softened to be broken in.
