What can i do to tighten peep toe shoes?

my feet slide forward in my peep toe shoes and the peep part is getting bigger all the time. i tried foot pads to stop them slipping forward but it wont work. what can i do as i love the shoes?

it sounds silly, but i duct-taped the inside so you can't see the tape and spray painted them with clear coat. it seems to be working for me
