Other word for Converse shoes?

Hey peeps! I just got a new pair of Converses and I was wondering if there was some other term for this style of shoe that has a white part in the front and two ventilation holes on the inner side and all that. I know I can just use the word Converses, but actually these shoes aren't Converses, there're some kind of asian brand because I'm vacationing in Asia for a month. So anyways, does anybody know the word for these shoes, that applies to all shoes that look like this? Please only answer if you're completely sure!

Converse is a brand name,as is Chuck Taylor.well actually he's the dude that sort of pioneered the Converse shoe,but..um..yeah.
