Well... beautiful shoes come with a price! When I purchase new shoes that have not yet been broken in, I usually wait until I get home and wearing them around the house with about 2 pairs of thick socks on.

That usually breaks them in. But, if I'm at someplace formal, I always leave a pair of matching, comfortable shoes (such as ballet flats) in my car so I can do a quick change. I also carry around band aids, the invisible sort so you don't really see them. Nylons tend to help and they can also avoid blisters from them.

To keep my feet nice, every time I take a shower I scrub them with a pumice stone, the heels. Before I go to bed (I shower at night) I liberally apply foot cry all over my foot to re knew them and give them rest.

I guess the trick is to always have a band aid on you, you never know when you'll need it and to break them in (if possible) before wearing them. If you feel that your feet are big, buy some Epsom salt in a cartoon from the drug store. Put some warm water in a tub and add the Epsom salt.

Good luck %26amp; I hope this helped!

Reply:My shoes are frequently tight at the end of the day, and it feels so good to take them off. Luckily I have a bf who will massage them! But I never thought about buying shoes later in the day. Thanks for the tip!

EDIT: The right time to buy shoes is really ALL THE TIME!
Reply:Feet can swell a bit as the day goes on, especially if you do a lot of walking or standing. Most people say to buy shoes in the afternoon/evening to avoid the problem you mentioned about having them too tight later in the day. Some shoes will require some more time to wear in as well.
