Trying to find a specific pair of shoes for my wife?

My wife was given a pair of sandals from a friend of her's who is from South Africa (I believe). Today, our dog chewed one of them up and my wife is really upset. These shes were bought in another country.

If anyone can help me locate where to purchase a pair of these online, it would be much appreciated.

It has a thick bottom that has vertical strips of wood wrapped around the side. The wood looks similar to bamboo toothpicks . The strap that goes over the top of the foot and between the toes is a group of 9 thin ropes (Blue, pink, Grrn, purple, and yellow color ropes). Where the the rope meets and goes between the toes (which is now only one rope surrounded by a plastic cushion as to not irritate) is a flower design mad from the same material and colors as the ropes.

On the sole of the shoe is written Teneré.

The top part of the sandal feels almost like a leather-like material, streteched.

Where can i buy Black and purple chekered vans?

I know that this kind of shoe is unusual, but i want a black and purple chekered van. But thats not the hard part about finding this shoe, its that i want it with a white bottom bit, you know what i mean? But if you cant find one with a white bottom, its still cool, its not that important (:

Where can i buy Black and purple chekered vans?
Try going to Zappos.com they have a lot of different shoes and maybe something better than what you have in mind.
Reply:Maybe you can go to thier website. I'm sure they have something like that. I think they even have this thing were you build your own shoe and they make it and you can buy it. Just try the vans official website.

Are Jordan XIV supposed to be wrinkled along where...?

I just bought a pair of Jordan XIV's from eBay and am trying to verify that they are in fact real..

1) are they supposed to be wrinkled along where the holes are on both sides?

2) does the interior part of the shoes by the bottom supposed to have like a small opening near the black carbon fiber looking part?

Thanks

Are Jordan XIV supposed to be wrinkled along where...?
a picture would help.

there are ridges on the sides, if thats what you're saying.

there really shouldn't be an opening inside

How would you clean these shoes?
They kinda look as if they are suede?? If they are, you may just want to take a soft brush with lightly misting with laundry spot cleaners, like those you use to pretreat stains before placing in laundry... You may not want to chance throwing them in the water %26amp; laundry...just because the suede may stiffen %26amp; ruin...just use the brush %26amp; cleaner, then wipe with damp cloth...see if it helps them freshen up after they dry...good luck!
Reply:What work for me is when I mix the a pre wash spray with oxi powder. Frist spray the stain just about any brand you like then spinkle the oxi powder over the stain for five to ten minuits you can then take a old toothbrush and go over it .This realy helps lift the stain then therow them in the washer and let them air dry. If your worried about the washer put it on the gentle cycle but if you go with gentle they take a little longer to air dry because it will spin a lot slower and it will cause them to come out a little more wet. good luck!!!!
Reply:I put mine in the washer. If the insert is removable take it out before washing them. Put the shoes %26amp; inserts out to dry.
Reply:Throw them in your washing machine and let them air-dry... If they don't come clean, use an old toothbrush and scrub out stains with laundry detergent or dish liquid, and rewash them.. remember, air dry!

Reply:I am a junk collector...love those yard sales. Hard to part with it but what helped me is going through Goodwill and realizing all the little junks that were there was because a person probably died and the kids were getting rid of the junk. I saved a bit of this and a bit of that because I thought some day my kids might like it. I realized it would be more of a burden for them than a blessing. What also helped me is finding benefit type yard sales where they are looking for contributions. I figure if it will go to something positive then it will be easier. Our church had one recently to put a roof on a school. I have gotten rid of 5 large tubs of junk this way. God bless you and keep praying for God to help you become organized. Mmm

Pointe shoes?

believe it or not...the hard part of your pointe shoes is made up of layers of cardboard and glue. many people think it is wood. imagine how much that would hurt...

Reply:There are actually two hard parts of a pointe shoe. The bottom part which is hard is called the shank. It can be ordered in a variety of hardness. There are soft shanks for more advanced students, and medium and hard shanks for the less advanced. There is the tip of the pointe shoe called the box which can be softened to be broken in.

How can I get them white?

The bottom part of my gym shoes are white and very dirty. I've tried many different shoe cleaners, but none seem to work. Its the rubber part of them. Is there anything like around the house I could use to get them clean?

How can I get them white?
i always use cleaner with bleach and a mr clean magic eraser on the white soles of my shoes and if i do not have that i mis bleach and making soda and warm water and i scrub it with a tooth brush and it always gets them back to looking new again
Reply:OUGH wow.....If they are good shoes.....I would not use bleach and chemicals on the rubber soles....You may think I,m crazy........but get you a small can of simi-gloss paint in white and paint the soles..I do it all the time.....I have even painted the whole leather shoes.....great.
Reply:I just use a damp disposable cloth and some kitchen cream cleaner, like Cif also known as Jif.

Then wipe down with clean warm water.

They come up really white, %26amp; if it can clean the rubber on my 4 yr old's shoes, it will clean anything!

Good luck hun ☺

Am I still a vegan if I used leather?

yesturday i found out part of my shoes is lether not the whole thing just these small stripes are lether.. i been vegan 2 years and worked so hard on it now i don't know if i have to start all over or what and i feel so bad now oh that poor cow had to die just for my shoes. i put the shoes away never to wear it again and wont ever buy lether again i promise.

Am I still a vegan if I used leather?
YOU ARE A MONSTER, you should be ashamed.
Reply:It's an accident, it's okay. Sometimes, when it happens it happens. I know I sometimes I accidentally eat meat, but doesn't mean I say "Well, I have been vegetarian for a week now"

I try hard to not get leather stuff, but I'm still not 100% about my sneakers.
Reply:Yo didn't eat your shoes did you???
Reply:To be a vegan is to not exploit animals for your own use. Since you did that accidentally, I'd say it's the same as stepping on an ant as you walk down a path. Not immoral, but perhaps you could try harder to prevent it in the future. If I did that, I'd sell the shoes and give the money to an animal rights charity or just give them to an animal charity, I'd feel a lot better after that.
Reply:There is no sense in beating yourself up over a mistake. Use it as a learning experience instead, and remind yourself to check more carefully next time. Since the money is already spent, the damage is already done. If you feel comfortable wearing them until they wear out, the vegan police will not swear out a warrant against you! But if you aren't going to wear them again, donate them to Goodwill or something so someone can make use of them.
Reply:ur still a vegan u wouldnt be a vegan if u new that it was leather
Reply:Please donate the shoes to goodwill if you are not going to wear them. Being vegan is no excuse for being wasteful.
Reply:You didn't eat the leather shoes did you?

yes, you are still a vegan.
Reply:I wouldn't sweat it- I think I've owned more leather as a vegetarian turned vegan than most non-veg- I recently gave up the addiction but I still haven't torn out neither of my cars' interiors yet.

Go to veganessentials.com or mooshoes.com and alternativeoutfitters.com and you'll find lots of vegan clothing/accessories/footwear without any thought put towards it.
Reply:You're still vegan.

I think if you only did it once, and it was an accident, then it's fine.

If you had known the shoes were leather and bought them anyways, I would consider you stupid.

But you're fine, just be more careful in the future.
Reply:You are still vegan because you had no idea that the shoes were made of leather; all you can do is return the shoes or just not wear them. I'm a veggie and I wear leather when necessary, such as shoes because I cannot find non leather shoes for my size feet (I_I) so........................

What ever you decide to do, wouldn't change your perspective about animal rights; I hope you find a decision that doesn't invlove you stop becomming a vegan.

tO`fu
Reply:it was mistake you did not mean to buy leather. If you feel really guilty do some charity work at a local animal shelter.

These are your choices, there is no vegan police and next time just read the lable a bit better.

you will be fine.

good luck on being vegan! - Thank you for being vegan!
Reply:Yes. But now you're a flexitarian vegan.
Reply:Listen, you are still a vegan. You already own the shoes, it is not like you went out and intentionally bought leather shoes. Just the fact that you are concerned about this says a lot about you. You are a good person and you shouldn't let this reflect on your position as a vegan. If you want to wear those shoes, you can wear them. It is not going to contribute to any further suffering.

Also, don't let these hatemongers get to you. They always find something negative to say about vegans because deep down inside they know we are right and they are wrong. They lash out at vegans just to hide their own guilt.

What should I wear...?

kay, so im going on a "haunted hayride" 2moro night. u actually take a hayride to a trail and u walk thru the actual huanted part, so my shoes should be closed toe, and at least semi-comfortable. i have it narrowed down to tennis shoes and mules (the brown suede shoes that look rele cute w/ jeans and jeans only)

and it will probably be chilly-cold

and im going with some girl/guyfriends and two of my guyfriends r really cute, so i have to look hott

plz help! something warm and comfy! i have almost everything so some suggestions would be nice!

What should I wear...?
ok

i no exactly wat u need! i am going on a hauted hayide / house jsut like u were... .

anyway jeans for a definite

maybe ugg boots ? or just boots that r cute

and a long sleeved shirt

and maybe a sweatshirt / cute thermal
Reply:wear something comfy u'll look silly been uncomfortable and u wont enjoy it, and when your enjoying yourself your true beauty will shine through
Reply:A sheer/see thru blouse under your coat and blue Levis
Reply:wear a baggy pair of sweatpants with a studded belt haning down. then wear a tight long-sleeved shirt. that's what i would wear, but i guess it all depends on our styles. good luck :)
Reply:cooooll
Reply:ask your other girl friends!!
Reply:you should wear dark blue jeans that show make your butt stand out or not . a long or short sleeved shirt thats is long. wear a belt around the shirt. with a half jean jacket. and a cute pear of sneackers.
Reply:Those are sooooo much fun.

Do you have a fleece jacket?

A cute knitted skarf and matching hat.

Jeans are always a good bet. Do you have some cute tennis shoes? Don't wear mules. You may have to walk in some mud. Layer a turtle neck with a button front hoodie. Contrast colors. Don't wear white unless you want to glow in the dark.

Have fun!
Reply:well, it depends on your eye color and hair color, also whats in your closet and where you live. It be nice if you gave all the details. Also, what color your tenis shoes are. Personaly, Id go with Jeans no matter what and tenis shoes, who knows if the mules go good with the shirt so i wouldnt risk that part.

Red hair- I'd go with a brown shirt, just simple, with a green cardigan. The green with compliment your hair and will go good no matter what eye color you have.

Blonde hair- In the fall i would go with a dark red shirt just a simple t shirt and a cute light blue cardigan/ sweater depending on what you have. The light blue and dark red will go well with each other and adding the lightness of your blonde hair you will look amazing.

Brown/black hair- I would wear a nice pink shirt, since the shirt wont be visible mostly just keep it simple, sometimes simple is always best. With a Dark deep pretty purple Sweater/ Cardiagn. When you have darker hair you want a darker color it balences everything over all pretty well.
Reply:I would wear jeans with tennis shoes, a long sleaved top, maybe like a thermal, and something to go over it. Not a vest or a sweater, but maybe a cute zip up jacket zipped 3 quarters of the way up to show your shirt underneath. A cute hat, some cute little gloves, and a scarf, and there you go!

Good luck!

=]Smile%26lt;3

P.S And if you are scared of being too cold, wear leggings under your jeans and an undershirt under your regular long sleeved top. =]
Reply:Go as a black cat : fluffy , cuddly , hot and very Halloween.
Reply:If your wearing Mules- make sure whatever shoes you wear they are closed because you don't want dirt or hay getting in them- I would wear tie-up boots.

A long sleeve cotton shirt (comfortable kind, but stylish-there's a lot of cute ones!)

A pair of really cute jeans that look your best on.

If you have a vest (the kind that looks like a coat but with no arms would be great!

Have Fun!
Reply:okay, well I think you should wear dark blue jeans with a white jacket, and a cute undershirt... with the tennis shoes, and for your hair, you should wet it and put mousse + hairspray, scrunch it and leave it down or you can even put it up in a cute ponytail, and leave some hair and put it to the side of your face. and you HAVE to smell nice, put some perfume or body spray on. and if u decide to put on some makeup on, try to look as natural as you can. have fun [=
Reply:Use layers,%26amp; wear something you have that makes you feel good.Keep warm %26amp; have fun..
Reply:wear a cami (maybe pink or orange) with a nice cardigan...i got a nice beige one from ae. and then wear some light-medium jeans and the brown suede shoes
Reply:Sounds as if you've got this down to the nines already. If it's cold wear tennis shoes, they are comfortable and so should you. Try layered, a skimpy T top under a soft Kashmir. Make sure the T matches the shoes.

Reply:uhhh definitely the tennis shoes!

What should i do?

i run most ly on my heels and my shoes gets really worn out after about 200 miles of training during summer xc camp. The front part of the shoes is still pretty good and can handle 100 more miles. I cant keep buying shoes. any suggetions?

What should i do?
The main suggestion is to stop over striding so you do not land heal first. Even if you are running slow and easy you should land more flat footed, not heal first. You are landing with your foot in front of your center of gravity which causes you to break with your muscles before you pass over the foot and begin to run. This causes the muscles in your legs to tire too soon, or before they should. Running is a pushing motion, not a pulling motion. Extend your stride behind you not in front. Your shoes should wear more evenly and the front part under the ball of your foot should be wearing. You recognize that the shoe wear is not correct, just think about running relaxed and not reaching out in front.
Reply:You need to change your stride. You will get injuries from running on your heels. Your heels should be the first thing to touch the ground but then smoothly roll your weigh to your toes. Think about this motion with every step and before long it will be natural.

Advice and cost needed about u-joints and brakes for 1995 Chevy Silverado?

I have a 1995 Chevy Silverado, 152000 miles, that has developed a low roaring sound that seems to come from the rear end when moving forward. The mechanic proposed to "replace driveshaft center support bearing and check u-joints when driveshaft is removed". Part needed is the "center support bearing assembly".

Since the wheel bearings could be a source of the noise, I asked that they be checked. The report was that "right rear axle seal leaking, wheel cylinders leak, brake shoes soaked with grease. Recommend rear brake service package due to grease leaking onto rear brake lining". Parts recommended are pads/shoes, wheel cylinders for the 2 rear wheels, and a rear axle seal.

To the mechanics out there--Do these sound like reasonable solutions and recommendations? How much should this cost?

Thank you!

Advice and cost needed about u-joints and brakes for 1995 Chevy Silverado?
It's better not to nickle and dime that stuff and go ahead and replace the bearings, seals and brakes all at once. And it's kinda dumb to even bother checking old u-joints when the drive shaft is off. You've already done most of the work replacing them, and they don't cost very much.

An honest shop might do the whole thing for $400 plus parts. A crooked one would try to soak you for a grand, and then mark up the parts 300%.
Reply:It does not sound like he/she is filling you full of crap.

It is not uncommon for a leaky rear axle seal to cause that damage, and midship bearings go out all the time.

I would reasonably think in the range of 5 hours,

the cost depends on you mechanics labor rate and mark-up of the parts
Reply:the noise going forward is probably your u-joints in the drive shaft.

when they get dry the needle bearings in the u-joint grind up,,that's the noise you here.

As far as your rear brakes go ,,The rear end cover has to come off to replace your axle seal.Do both sides.and have your axles inspected for pitting.

The rear end fluid coming out of your axle seal contaminates the brake linings,,if your wheel cyl is leaking it does the same thing.

causing your rear brakes to grab.

After the axle seals are replaced.have new wheel cyl if there leaking and new brake shoes and new spring kit,,the springs that hold your brake shoes together.

As far as cost goes maybe 3hours labour total.

u-joints 20-30 bucks each.

axle seals 2-5 bucks each side

wheel cyl 15-25 bucks each side

if a brake line brakes more $$$

rear brake shoes 50- 100 $

rear spring kit 20 $

new grease for rear end %26amp;silicone for cover 20$

Obvieos these are just rough prices,,it will very depending where you go.and as long as nothing breaks.

What can I put on shoes to prevent rubbing blisters on the back of my ankles?

I like to wear flat dress shoes, but the ones I own cause very painful rubbing blisters on the back of my ankle (you know the spot) from walking, whether or not I wear socks. Wearing bandages doesn't work; they either bunch up or fall off. Is there anything you can do to the shoe itself to soften that back part, or any type of padding designed to fit there?

What can I put on shoes to prevent rubbing blisters on the back of my ankles?
Band-Aid makes a special blister band-aid with medication. My mother wears those all the time to prevent blisters from her flat dress shoes. They don't come off in water and it's medicated so if you put them on a blister it will take of it no problem. I have worn them before when I put on shoes I know will give me blisters and they help immensely.
Reply:Try checking out dance shoe stores (if you can't find one near where you live, try looking online). Dancers get some horrid blisters, so these stores usually carry these small soft adhesive squares that can be placed on the back heel area of the shoe. These work very well: blisters are caused by skin rubbing against a material, so the blister pads stop your skin from rubbing.
Reply:Check with Walgreens in the foot aisle....I think they now have some Dr. Scholls stuff - some type of adhesive backed moleskin stuff...

it's helped me...

Hope this helped.

You can check the Dr. Scholl's website too....
Reply:Omg i had the same problem wid my fav dark pink croc skin from Kenneth Cole.Tt hurts me so much but it was my fav shoe.I wore it for the 1st time and it caused a blister ( like a water pocket ) on the back of my heel.I peeled it off %26amp; it sting like no other!I found a solution in one of the pharmacies. They have a few choices of "pads" that u can put on the back to help ease the pain.I bought the one that is made from leather but they have nother one and i cant recall the name %26amp; type.u can check the link below for more choices.Hope it works!
Reply:Dear, get rid of those shoes right away.. no matter what you add, take away or do to them, there going to be a problem, and your feet deserve better. Contrary to the myth, the shoes will break in, they won't and adding stuff on them will aggrevate the area on your foot. When shopping for a replacement pair, make sure they either rise above the area of concern, strap over the area, or are backless "mules". This is a very common problem remedied only by replacement footwear. Now, if you're absolutely in Love with these shoes, take them to your local shoe repair shop, have them place the back of the shoe that bothers your foot "and I mean the exact spot on the back of the shoe, or along the top edge if thats it" onto the shoe last, the upside down metal thing they use to fix shoes on, and beat the shoe with a shoe hammer about 5 to 10 times relatively hard. This will temper or soften the leather, and or beat out any imperfections between the lining and the shoe, and it will also stretch the leather just enough so that it may not rub against that spot on your fooot any more. I don't recommend plan b, but I understand a love of shoes! Good Luck!!

Nail help?!?

My nails grow wierd, it's hard to explain but I'll try to. At the tips where the white startes growning it's not even with the pink part so it doesn't look like a nice horse shoe kind of thing. On some parts of my nails there is pink right to the tip of the nail and thenwhit right beside it, also my nails don't grow straight it seems like it's just sporatic growing like one part is longer than the other. that was hard to explain, if anyone understood that do the have any tips to make your nails grow nicely?

Nail help?!?
When I was a kid I managed to get acid on my nails and they had ridges, funny coloring, and grew plain weird if they grew at all. I started drinking knox gelatin. I bought it at a grocery store in the aisle that has gelatin. I read in a magazine it helps and guess what it really did. My nails look great and are super strong. I always get compliments on the moon part of my nails being so white. I only did it for a period of about 6 months and drank like a couple teaspoons mixed in water once a day.

I also found the following information hope it helps.

* Lack of vitamin A and calcium causes dryness and brittleness.

* Lack of protein, folic acid and vitamin C causes hang nails.

* White bands across the nails are caused by protein deficiency.

* A lack of sufficient hydrochloric acid can cause splitting nails.

* Insufficient intake or vitamin B12 can lead to excessive dryness, very rounded and curved ends and darkening of nails.

* Insufficient zinc can cause development of white spots on the nails.

* Cuts and cracks in the nails may indicate a need for more liquids.

* Red skin around your cuticles can be caused by poor metabolism of essential fatty acids.

Here are the guidelines to follow for improving the health of your nails:

* Eat a diet composed of 50% fruit and raw vegetables in order to supply necessary vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Eat foods rich in sulfur and silicon, such as broccoli, fish and onions. Include foods rich in biotin such as soy, brewers yeast and whole grains.

* Drink plenty of water and other liquids.

* You may supplement your diet with royal jelly, spirulina or kelp, which are rich in silica, zinc and B vitamins and help to strengthen your nails.

* Drink fresh carrot juice daily, this is high in calcium and phosphorus and is excellent for
Reply:im not sure what u mean.. but i think i can help.

1)Clean nail of polish and trim to an eight of an inch

2)try to file ur nails into a round square, moving in one direction, not back and forth.

3)smooth the nail plate and soak fingertips for three minutes in a bowl of warm soapy water.

4) Rub in cuticle oil and soak finger for three mintues in a bowl of warm soapy water.

5)blot hand dry, then push back cuticles (do not clip) with an orangewood stick wrapped in cotton

6)exfoliate your hands with a nickel size dot of body srub andrinse. follow with moisturizer

7) wipe crean and oil off nails with polish remover.

8) Brush nails with basecoat, running it under the nail to prevent chips. let dry for 2 mins.

9)it wanted apply nailpolish. then apply coat to prevent color from falling out or fading. let it dry for at leat 45 mins.
Reply:you should go to a nail doctor .my friend had the same problem. i dont think it hurts.
Reply:It's ME, the folic acid queen! I'm talking about it with everybody tonight! Folic acid is the stuff in prenatal vitamins that makes you nails grow long, strong and healthy. Also hair! You can just take prenatals, or if you don't want to spend that much, or don't want that many extra vitamins, you can buy folic acid at any drug store in the supplements aisle. It will also help with any tendency to fungal infections (yeast, etc.). Mine runs about $5 a bottle at Walgreens, but you can buy it anywhere.

Stains/marks in porcelain/iron tub?

We have a new Kohler iron tub (undermount) in a porcelain white finish. It is mounted inside a custom tub surround finished in Bisazza glass mosaic tile. Back when the tile guys did the tub deck, they marked up the floor of the tub with the black rubber soles of their shoes, and dropped bits of grout in it as well. This is Bisazza high performance grout,

one of the hardest substances known to man. Not normal cheap grout. Harder than rock. To make a long story short, the shoe marks and bits of grout are embedded in the rough textured floor part of the tub and are almost impossible to remove. I've scraped away the bits of grout with a chisel, but it's left stains in the rough part. Same with the shoe marks. I've tried Comet, bleach, Goof-Off, and am ready to try Jasco

paint remover (has acid in it). Again, this is not a normal smooth porcelain surface; it has a textured grip area to keep from slipping on and that is why it is so stubborn. Please recommend a tough-as-hell solution

Stains/marks in porcelain/iron tub?
oh that sucks, have you tried a dremmel tool. I've used the as seen on tv "kaboom" to remove really nasty stuff before but that was for grease, stickey stuff and baked in food. Have you tried soft scrub? I'd be pissed about this too. Have you filed a complaint? they damaged your property, raise hell withthe contractors and call the BBB
Reply:sorry no real advice but just be real careful what you use ... our steel bath with enamel finish was ruining just by bleach. It left the bath with a rough surface (maybe I should post the question??)

Which shoes look good with this purple dress?

My husband and I are celebrating our one year anniversary this weekend. I am not sure as to what shoes would look better with my purple dress, that I have yet to wear in over a year. I am hoping he takes me out dancing and although the gold, silver, bronze strappy shoes are comfortable, not sure if they work and would it be too much with a gold clutch, but very minimal jewelry? I do have an alternative, black peep toe shoes, if gold is out of the question. Click link to see part of dress with shoes. Thanks!

Which shoes look good with this purple dress?
Those shoes are PERFECT with that dress along with a gold clutch. As you said, minimal jewelry, maybe just some small simple gold earrings.

Happy Anniversary! Dance the night away!
Reply:I am not sure if i would do the multi color shoe, but gold or silver by itself would be cute. And you could do the gold clutch with either..even the multi should you decided to wear it. The black peep toe would be pretty though.
Reply:i agree the gold shoes are perfect they add to the shimmer of the dress. the black might dull it a bit. good luck and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
Reply:Yeah you can wear the gold shoes but if ur not comfortable you can never go wrong with the black shoes!!
Reply:They don't match. The dress is too dark to have light colored shoes. The shoes them self are cute and make a great neutral yet colorful look. If you had a light purple, baby blue, or yellow dress that would look great. The dress itself looks cute. The other shoes would work with it.
Reply:i think they look great with your dress

everything you have is good the board is flip so its a v good make! indys again very reliable and an experienced truck co, spitfire again for the same reasons.............yes a nice set up
Reply:Bone reds are good.
Reply:That is a really good setup. That's almost exactly what my setup is at the moment except for the deck and grip tape. That's the right deck size for you, the bearings are good, the wheel size is good for street. Bones Reds hold up good, Independents last long, Spitfire makes good wheels but if do you decide to save money, you can get Mini Logo decks which are blank decks but high quality made. For wheels, blank wheels are cheaper but good too.
Reply:i think you will find great parts at skatingparts.com they have many good parts if you kno what i mean *wink wink* they have the best body parts there*wink wink*

I am putting in a proposal for a play.?

There are auditions for directors who want to direct a play and I want to put a proposal to direct a play which I like very much. I want to be able to impress the people who are conducting the auditions and get the chance to direct. They are asking for things such as approximate budget cost, ideas for the tech crew and the number of cast. My play is plaza suite by neil simon which is split into 3 parts with different characters who shoe very complex emotions. They all have different themes but happen in the same suite. Please give me a few ideas on how to go about delivering my proposal and impress the interviewer.

I am putting in a proposal for a play.?
From an actor's standpoint, Plaza Suite is interesting because usually, two actors play all the roles in each act. Now on a high school level or a less-than-professional level, you could use two different actors in each act. This might be mentioned as beneficial in the rehearsal schedule aspect; it's easier to get two actors to a rehearsal than it is to get 20 Some directors like to involve a lot of people and choose shows like Oklahoma; this one will have a small cast either way. Your set will be your main expense because it is an expensive looking suite in an upscale hotel. This is often difficult even for college-level theatre to pull off. Your tech crew will consist mainly of set construction, decorating, and lighting technicians, becasue once the play begins, the extent of the tech crew is "lights up" ........................................... down."

As for publicity, you have the advantage of one of the most marketable names in American theatre -- Neil Simon. He has been called the most successful playwright in American theatre. I think this refers to ticket revenues more than anything (he certainly isn't studied the way Arthur Miller or Tennessee Williams is). At one point, he had something like three or four plays running simultaneously on Broadway.

Questions that I would ask if you were presenting to me are "Why do you want to do this play? There are better Neil Simon plays." "Do you think this show will appeal enough to your target audience that they will come?" "Is there some sort of message you would like to get across in this play?"
Reply:What are you really asking here? You want somone else to come up with your budget and tch crew ideas? think about it...how much stuff needs to be taken care of back stage...more things, more tech crew...as for budget do you plan everything? you should probably think about your set and how much that will end up costing. also publicty and costume things. a straight play shouldn't end up costing a whole lot..use what you have.
Reply:Will this be an amateur production or a professional production? Costs will differ immensely. Have you worked on a show before? If so, how many people worked backstage? Perhaps referring to past productions will help you decide how many people you will need to run the show in production. Since Plaza Suite is a modern play, your costume budget won't be excessive - perhaps your cast can provide its own wardrobe. Are set pieces and flats available from other shows that you can re-use, perhaps only having to re-paint them. Can you borrow furniture? Have you looked in the back of the script for a set and props plot?
Reply:seeing that there's sam and karen in act 1,jesse and muriel in act 2,and roy, norma, and mimsey in act 3 ' cast is 7 plus extras (total 12 as per my knowledge in original play) . Since suite always exists only minor changes need be made so tech crew should be less ; the buget totally depens on the way you present it.

its a good play and you should not have problems proposing it

Is it OK to be barefoot in public even though its not an accepted social norm?

There are no health codes regarding customer attire.

It is not illegal to drive barefoot.

Being barefoot promotes healthy development of musculature in the feet and legs.

Walking barefoot is also a good way to avoid athlete’s foot.

Children raised in parts of the world where shoes are rarely worn had better flexibility, mobility, and strength, which resulted in fewer foot-related problems and injuries.

Even various shoe manufactures recognize the

benefits of nature’s original design. Some have even developed designs that attempt to simulate being barefoot to some extent.

So why not go barefoot and be comfortable???

Is it OK to be barefoot in public even though its not an accepted social norm?
YES, it should be FINE. Too many people confuse anything outside the social norm with a lack of respect. That's unfortunate; differences in appearance and dress make life more interesting. Imagine we'd all be wearing the same thing, that'd be terribly boring! And bare feet in particular can also be a sign of *respect*; it's a gentle, quiet, natural way of walking, doesn't make noise like clicking heels, slapping flipflops or stomping boots, does less harm to plants when walking outdoors... Indeed the concerns of injury, disease, smell etc are based on myths and exaggerated fears rather than fact, and I find the gentle barefoot step far *more* respectful than the careless, unfeeling step of a thick-soled boot.

It is NOT dangerous or gross to go barefoot. I've been barefoot for eleven years, always and everywhere, and frequently even run at train stations full of litter, yet I get a tiny splinter maybe once a year and I've NEVER cut my feet. Feet are a lot tougher than people who've always worn shoes would believe! In the rare case of an injury, Tetanus has had a vaccine since the 1920's and it's really a good idea to keep it up to date regardless of whether you ever put a bare foot on the floor outside the pool or beach; there are other ways of catching it apart from stepping on a rusty nail barefoot.

Disease is unlikely since our skin is made to keep pathogens out; unless you put your feet up on the table or lick your toes, the more visible dirt on our feet is far less risky than the less visible but no less germy stuff we pick up with our hands from door knobs, railings, handle bars, etc. Even if we wash our hands after using the restroom and before dinner, there's still more chance to transfer those germs to our food and/or face where they can enter our body; on our feet, the dirt just sits there until we wash it off.

Hookworm is very unlikely; it has been pretty much eradicated from the South since modern plumbing has replaced the outhouses and never was a problem in cooler climates.

Visually, the foot is 99% visible in a flipflop, making little difference for the observer, but I disagree it gives the barefoot feel; for me it's the interesting surfaces *under* the foot that makes all the difference, so even the thinnest sole makes a world of difference for me as the wearer. Walking with even the thinnest soles is like visiting an art show wearing dark glasses or a concert wearing ear plugs.

There's no foot odor unless you just took off closed shoes; 'foot odor' should really be called 'shoe odor' since it is caused not by the sweat itself but by bacteria breaking down the sweat in anaerobe circumstances (with lack of oxygen) as happens inside closed shoes. On the bare foot, no matter how much you sweat on a hot day, the sweat dries up without producing the odor.

And in spite of persistent myths in the US, there are NO health laws against bare feet, insurance companies don't require or even recommend footwear for customers, and there are NO laws against driving barefoot. Individual stores may have a dress code but there are many stores even in the US that don't care; in other countries it's rarely an issue at all. Here in the Netherlands I've never even seen a 'no shoes, no shirts, no service' sign, nor on my trips to Belgium %26amp; Scotland.

As for driving barefoot, I'm sorry one of the previous posters has been cited for going barefoot but I am absolutely convinced that cop was wrong, driving barefoot is legal in ALL US states. Some cops are convinced it's unsafe and even though they know it's not illegal may have written you up for unsafe or reckless driving, however please see the links in the source, for two sites (one from the Michigan PD, one from an Australian newspaper) making it clear that driving barefoot is no more unsafe than many types of footwear that are regularly worn and could even be considered safer than many kinds of shoes. With these links, a ticket given for unsafe driving should *not* stand in court!
Reply:What a joke--are you two the same person? Report It

Reply:Nope. Going barefoot is (very) rare but there's still more than one barefooter in the entire world. I'm 100% serious about my barefooting, as well as absolutely sure about the driving laws. Sorry your mom had a bad foot injury once but that doesn't happen that often. Report It

Reply:Oh, forgot to say, if you or anyone has any questions feel free to mail me, I don't check the comments on resolved questions that often (not at all after a week or two, have answered way too many)! I'll be happy to answer any serious, non-fetish question about going barefoot by email. Report It

Reply:I do a lot! Leaves my feet very dirty.
Reply:Not a good idea in the city - too much risk of picking up nasty infections from the "crap" on the sidewalks.
Reply:no, feet are gross
Reply:It actually is illegal to drive barefoot in Kansas--I was cited for it once! Besides that, it can be dangerous. My mom stepped on a rusty nail when she was a kid and it went clean through her foot!
Reply:If, hookworms are your thing go ahead.
Reply:after walking for 5 mins barefoot your feet would be black with dirt and look disgusting. spare everyone from having to look at your dirty, funky feet. wear some sandals at least.
Reply:I think so,because god gave us feet to handle the rigors of the natural surfaces, but it there is some hazards such as sharp objects or disease infected stuff,u need some protection then, but i have no problems with bare feet as long as it wouldnt hurt you
Reply:im a flip flop girl. feels like barefoot, but without the germs
Reply:It's OK sometimes like at casual occasions and when there is a minimal risk of injury. Me and my girlfriends do it a lot in the summer, but not everywhere.

It is more comfortable, but your soles do get black and dirty. Fine when you are at a small picnic, but not at a big cocktail party.
Reply:I'll put aside the fact that I don't want to see someone's nasty feet, and look at the other big factors.

Think about all the people that spit on the ground. All the chewed gum. You'd be picking up and spreading disease from one place to another. It's just not sanitary. I know shoes pick up stuff- but add the moisture and pores in feet and it just makes a much better breeding ground.

Also, there's glass and screws everywhere. It just wouldn't be safe.
Reply:Because so many people are litter bugs, and throw their glass containers and other debris out their windows, or falls off their trucks in the form of rusty nails and chunks of metals.

More than a 100 years ago, you could get away with that. You can get away with that in your own backyard, and maybe at the state parks, but I would not just go walking out about though the city or town on hard concrete or even in the grass for the sake of being barefoot.

I am still wondering why more women are not trying for top equality, than being foot free.
Reply:I LOVE going barefoot, But I wouldn't want to do it in public, yuck all those germs. Wear flip-flops, Close as you can get to being barefoot.

What should be done to the people in assam who stripped and kicked a adivasi woman on her private part?

It was heart rending to see a photo of a helpless adivasi woman stripped naked in the midst of men, with 1 of them kicking her with his shoes on her private part, that person seemed to be dignified because he was dressed like a gentle man but his action was like a brute who had scant respect for a woman.I dont know what the government or women's organization wil do regarding this or if they will become deaf and blind convieniently.I wish some one treats that hooligan in the same way and kicks him in his private part so that he feels the same pain and humiliation.

What should be done to the people in assam who stripped and kicked a adivasi woman on her private part?
They should be castrated.

I have seen those three idiots. They are a disgrace to our race.

Although I live in USA, I am from Calcutta, so I am aware of what's going around!
Reply:Jus simply trace those mordern intellectuals and see to that they are hanged without anu mercy. When cannot respect a dignity of a women in a public place can just understand the lovely parents and his relations and friends are.
Reply:hang them upside down for 2 weeks no food drink and then cover their face with bag full of poisonous snake like we see in movie
Reply:I am sure no civilised society appreciates it. Ceratinly it was on-off for a state like Assam. Let the law take its own course.
Reply:The law will be as usual deaf and blind. If possible it will speak on, supporting those men, It will never help that women in any way.

Being an Indian I am sorry to say this, but this is the state of the law in India.

Before the justice(may or maynot) comes the people who filed the case itself will forget what the case is.

Let his mother and his sister and his wife and his neighbourhood women sorround him and strip him naked and kick him off. Let his daughter spit off in his face. Let this be telecasted live on TV. Then only crimes like these would stop. It's no use of talking and watching things happening in the TV.

ONE DAY OR OTHER THE SAME MAY HAPPEN TO YOU.
Reply:Even I saw those clipping, I feel respectively sorry for the incident happened to them…!!

While watching this incident on the TV, I feel like giving the same treatment to his Wife/daughter/mother/sisters….!!
Reply:i guess these idiots are not really humans, i guess these fool should be taught a lesson.. they should realise tat they had made such a big mistakes in their life, these guys should be asked a question if there wife or daugther were in the place of tat adivasi girl, wat would they do... i hate to say tat i belong to india.. with these inhuman ppl around... i guess this indian goverment is selfish... i hate politicssss.. they all just a crap of junk ppl..

I swear if it was my family being abused like this, id shoot the fuken idiot in the balls .. I wouldnt care if i died doing it either - i just cant stand stupid people like this ... ..
Reply:Where did u see these pics?

If true, they should be hanged upside down totally nude and then stoned.
Reply:even that man sud be kicked by the women on his private parts
Reply:to cut long story short ... those ppl always roam around naked .. remember the movement against army ... so nude things nothing at all.... kick can be considered as fault ...he should be punished for it...
Reply:they should be shot i hate it when men hurt women
Reply:I am sure that all are agitated and I am one of them

but when the rite time comes to show some action and have mercy on the gal and put the ones who did the crime behind bars no one turns up. It is like the old saying "Everyone wants to go to HEAVEN but no body is ready to DIE". That is what happening over here unless and until some bdy who is ready to face any challenges turn up nothing is going to happen to them who did
Reply:It was a cruel sight...Police can easily trace him and bring him to book..but who knows he may be a big wig...from the dress he was wearing he was appearing to be affluent...but looks are deceptive...the real brute in him came out in his action. How unmanly the act was... as a grown up adult he should be protecting her dignity instead he elected to be inhuman towards helpless woman....shame. The brute deserves same treatment. Where did all these women's organisations have disappeared...not a whimper of protest so far....
Reply:that's terrible.... any links to the story?

Best running shoes for patellofemoral syndrome, aka runner's knee?

I've determined I have Patellofemoral Syndrome (Runners Knee) and need to know what I should be looking for in a shoe? I go to the gym regularly and run on the treadmill, stepper, eliptical and lift. I recently bought a pair of Nike Shox last fall and started having knee problems this spring. I don't know if they had anyting to do with it or not. I've been working out since highschool and I've never had knee issues. Also I have upped what I run from 3, to 4, now up to 5 miles so that could also play a part in it.

Any specific shoe or a brand to stick with or type of shoe would be helpfull. Thanks.

Best running shoes for patellofemoral syndrome, aka runner's knee?
I have runner's knee too, and my doctor said the shoes I'm in are just fine. I wear Asics (the Gel Landreth model) and I have for a couple years- they're great %26amp; they last a long time. I wouldn't use Nikes as your main running shoe- they wear out faster and are built more for style then for athletics. Plus, they don't generally last as long when you run in them consistantly. I don't know that the shoes have much to do with your problem, though. My doc gave me a bunch of stretches to do and those work well, plus I wear a small band around my knee to give it support. Check with your doctor- I found out that my problem was mainly caused by the fact that my major muscles, like my calves, achilles, and quadriceps are too tight, so most of my stretches actually stretch those muscles.
Reply:i had knee problems until i switched to the Brooks GTS 7, there for over-pronators, which was causing my problems. But your recent increase in mileage might also be whats causing your knee pain- you might need to take a break or decrease the length of your runs. It can also be the way you run- make sure you are not jolting your joints- try to land on the sole of your foot and absorb the impact into your muscles- it sounds wierd but i started focusing on that and my knee pain went away.

how can i do something like this..

you see the shoes blinking while other parts and objects are in place...

how can i do that..

i know how to make it animated.

How can i do this GIF photo?
It's just a very simple animated gif One frame is at normal exposure, the next is modified with brightness and maybe contrast. The two combined create the flashing effect. There are plenty of animated gif programs around, but have a look at IrfanView at http://pctutorials.at3host.com You'll find it in the graphics section. There aren't any tutorials on animated gifs there, but there is a link to the free program. It does heaps more than animate gifs as you will see from the other tutorials. Also look at YouTube for animated gif tutorials.

I THINK THIS GIRL LIKES ME you decide?

During lunch there was this girl working on some project in the school library, she's very hot and popular, I approached her set alongside her and started a conversation, I could tell that she was into me because she was really "into" the conversation and talking to me, since our feet were under the table she lightly put her shoe on the bottom part of my leg (over my foot a little)... she did it again a few minutes later and apologized, but i feel there was more to it. What do you think that kind of body language suggests?

I THINK THIS GIRL LIKES ME you decide?
yea,she likes you, dude.become friends %26amp; go on a group date %26amp; maybe later on work it up into something magical.

What are the chances of being re-hired at a job?

I worked in shoe store as a part-time job for 9 months. I quit two weeks ago because I was working a different job for the summer, and found the two overwhelming. There was also a problem with a lack of manager in the store. Just today, I talked to a co-worker that I have kept in touch with and found out that there is a new manager and things are going really well there, but they are still in need of employees. I regret my decision to quit, and think that I could possibly want to go back. Do companies often re-hire employees who have quit but changed their minds?

What are the chances of being re-hired at a job?
If you left on good terms and the company does not have a policy against rehiring previous employees, then you may have a good chance of being rehired, given that they are in need of employees with your skills and experience.
Reply:As long as you left the job on good terms with everyone, I think it's worth a shot to try and get rehired. Just approach the new manager in a very low-key way and tell him you'd very much like to work at the store again.
Reply:It never hurts to ask. What's the worst they can say? Some companies have policies that don't allow them to re-hire, but I worked for a company that r-hired people who had left on good terms all the time. Give it a shot! Go to the store and ask for the manager. Tell them that you left the company two weeks ago due to conflicting work schedules with your other job, but now that job has ended and you'd like to come back. DO NOT bash the former manager or anything about the store.
Reply:It depends, did you quit on the spot or did you give 2 week notice? If you gave notice, then you should be eligible for re-hire. Why not have the co-worker mention it to the new manager (who will then get your side of the story first, who knows what's in your personnel file) and grease the skids for you - most jobs are found through networking anyways.
Reply:I'd say you have a good chance..
Reply:It won't hurt to apply and see. If you left on good terms, and gave a two weeks notice, then I'd say your chances are good.

Soccer cleats?

i have really wide feet, and every pair of cleats i buy (always copa mudials) my foot will bust through the side of the cleat, also the narrowness of the shoe, and the plastic part on the bottom that the cleats are attatched to hurt my feet. is there anyone out that that will make a pair of wide soccer cleats or custom cleats?

Soccer cleats?
I know for sure that addidas makes wide Predators and F.50's if you're interested in either of those but other then that i haven't heard much.
Reply:Copa's are notoriously pron to tear, and should not be worn for practice - only for matches! That said, go on-line and search for "soccer shoes"

"+ wide". I have the same problem (wear an EE) and have a hard time finding something comfortable. In my experience, especially Nike runs narrow.

How can I get my shoes white again?

I recently got some new shoes and the fabric part has gotten dirty (these are Nike Shox).. is there anything I can use to restore the white again?

P.S. I've washed them.. hasn't helped.

How can I get my shoes white again?
have you tried putting them in the washing machine in a pillow case with your other clothes

whenever my shoes get dirty I just put them in and then dry them with all of my other clothes and they come out really clean

I know it sounds really wierd but it works
Reply:i have the same shoes and mine got dirty, i couldn't clean them either. =/ sorry
Reply:Only thing I've seen is scrubbing them with bleach-alternative detergent and a scrub brush.
Reply:mix oxi-clean in hot hot water and scrub them really good
Reply:Well I have used Oxy Clean and it worked wonderful. I used the spray and then wiped with damp cloth. You could try it and Good Luck
Reply:This is very gentle. It is good for even washable white silk.

1 part hydrogen peroxide

8 parts water

Mix in a dishpan or sink a sufficient amount to cover the shoes to be bleached. Immerse shoes for 5 to 30 minutes to remove stains or lighten shoes. Rinse shoes in clear water and discard bleaching mixture. Be careful of using regular bleach, when can actually turn items yellow instead of white.
Reply:bleach?
Reply:Yes you can spot bleach them very carefully.

~or~

You can put them though the washer machiene in cold with soap and then stuff newspaper inside them and put them in the oven at 350 degrees
Reply:Go to foot loocker and ask for help like a cleaning thing
Reply:There is a spray product that is called "Awesome" and it has worked amazing things for me on fabrics, carpets, etc. It is with household cleaners.
Reply:one other thing to try

tooth paste

silly but it works
Reply:Try an S.O.S pad...they are only like $3 for an entire box...

They have always worked for me - its soap on steel wool and all you have to do is get the pad wet and rub it onto your shoe and then rinse! :) works like a charm!
Reply:Mr. Clean eraser helps me.
Reply:Look in your local shoe store were they sell shoe polish, they used to have some stuff for tennis shoes call Shoe Restorer, for white shoes,it's like a shoe polish but in a different form.Good Luck.
Reply:Direct sunlight if this does not help you have lost the whiteness
Reply:tooth paste
Reply:you can get a shoe die and recolor them. Any shoe repair shop will be able to help you
Reply:bleach
Reply:use the cleaning products stuff in foot locker thats how my air forces got cleaned

Does the devil wear blue shoes or is he like God who wears sandals on his feet at times?

Seriously does he wear blue shoes or was that part of some song on the radio.

Does the devil wear blue shoes or is he like God who wears sandals on his feet at times?
I wear sandals. Thanks for asking.
Reply:I thought he wore prada?

God doesn't need shoes, he has thick callouses on his feet.

It's Jesus who wears the sandals- Birkenstocks actually.
Reply:some song.

everyone knows that satan wears skating shoes.

i just saw him earlier today gosh
Reply:That song went 'Devil with the blue dress, blue dress, blue dress, Devil with the blue dress on!' It was called See CC Rider....
Reply:don't know of any, maybe horse shoes modified to fit goat?
Reply:SHE wears prada!!!
Reply:No, he wears blue dresses so he's a cross dresser. Though, sandles would go well with a blue dress...I am betting he is barefoot. Hooves don't fit well in shoes.
Reply:Huh?

Elvis sang a song about blue suede shoes. I never heard a song about the devil wearing blue shoes.

The devil appears in basically any way he likes (at least for now). He tries to appear as a Christian pastor or an angel of light. He doesn't dare to be too bold. Demons who went too far have been chained up in the underworld before the appointed time. Satan won't go too far until the end of the world is near. Then, since his fate is close, he will make a last gasp effort to deceive the world.

This may happen is our lifetimes.
Reply:Here's the more important question:

What did Jesus do to combat the horrors of "sandal feet"...

come on, you know what i'm talking about...

I can't wear my sandals for two weeks without having to change the soles or use Dr. Scholl's or some sort of foot powder...

I'm just saying.
Reply:de debbil gots hoofs, he don't need no shoes.
Reply:No, I believe it is the "Devil with the Blue Dress"...which either makes him a her or a cross dresser...
Reply:as a spirit, do you think he can even hold shoes on or is he translucent? more importantly, do you know what's going to happen to him no matter what color shoes he is (or isn't wearing). if your answer is no, check out the following link:

then click on the tab that says "view prayer clip"

good luck on your search.
Reply:He wears Prada.
Reply:Have you ever heard of a spirit needing to wear shoes? Why?

Pretty feet?when is the right time to buy your shoes?

How to take care of ones feet..gives us some helpful tips for those common feet problems what time of the day should we purchase those shoes?(morning, afternoon? etc)..mine is, when i bought this cute pair of black shoes(mid day), my feet turned red and hurt a lot when i started to walk in them.It fit just fine in the morning when i got it, but when i actually used the shoes(thats the worse part.)later that day it felt like my feet gotten big? advise please.. T_T

Pretty feet?when is the right time to buy your shoes?
Well... beautiful shoes come with a price! When I purchase new shoes that have not yet been broken in, I usually wait until I get home and wearing them around the house with about 2 pairs of thick socks on.

That usually breaks them in. But, if I'm at someplace formal, I always leave a pair of matching, comfortable shoes (such as ballet flats) in my car so I can do a quick change. I also carry around band aids, the invisible sort so you don't really see them. Nylons tend to help and they can also avoid blisters from them.

To keep my feet nice, every time I take a shower I scrub them with a pumice stone, the heels. Before I go to bed (I shower at night) I liberally apply foot cry all over my foot to re knew them and give them rest.

I guess the trick is to always have a band aid on you, you never know when you'll need it and to break them in (if possible) before wearing them. If you feel that your feet are big, buy some Epsom salt in a cartoon from the drug store. Put some warm water in a tub and add the Epsom salt.

Good luck %26amp; I hope this helped!
Reply:anytime
Reply:My shoes are frequently tight at the end of the day, and it feels so good to take them off. Luckily I have a bf who will massage them! But I never thought about buying shoes later in the day. Thanks for the tip!

EDIT: The right time to buy shoes is really ALL THE TIME!
Reply:Feet can swell a bit as the day goes on, especially if you do a lot of walking or standing. Most people say to buy shoes in the afternoon/evening to avoid the problem you mentioned about having them too tight later in the day. Some shoes will require some more time to wear in as well.

Cleaning adidas and reeboks shoes?

Does anyone have a good idea how to clean white leather running shoes? The kind with part canvas and fancy designs. I have a friend who washes hers in the washing machine, but I can't imagine that's good for the leather.

Cleaning adidas and reeboks shoes?
I wash mine in the washing machine %26amp; put them outside to dry.

Reply:The washing machine is fine...just don't put them in the dryer, let them air dry.

Shopping in Vegas "What are somethings to do in the daytime?

I need to come up with a itenary for some ladies that are into shoe shopping, sight seeing parting and more parting not gambleing at all

Shopping in Vegas "What are somethings to do in the daytime?
I can't believe it, nobody has mentioned the greatest shopping mall in LV

The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace - You can kill two birds with one stone because Caesars Palace is also my #1 must see hotel..

A distant second but still a great mall is, Desert Passage at the Aladdin

Number three on my great mall list, are the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. The Venetian is my #2 must see hotel

While were on it, #3 on my must see hotel list is the Luxor - #4 Bellagio - #5 Wynn

For sight seeing

Helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon

http://www.maverickhelicopter.com

1-866-644-8687

Top of the Stratosphere Tower - It's quite a view from 900ft up

Top of the Eiffel Tower - both are really awesome at sunset.

Great hotels for the party bunch

Palms%26gt;Rain%26gt;Ghost Bar%26gt;Playboy Club

Hard Rock%26gt;Body English

Rio%26gt;Club Rio

MGM%26gt;Studio 54

Mandalay Bay%26gt;Rumjungle

Luxor%26gt;Ra

Bellagio%26gt;Light

Caesars%26gt;Pure

Wynn%26gt;Tryst

for a list of and info on, all the nightclubs, ultra bars etc

http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com also all the shows, free spectacles, restaurants, buffets etc

The Fountains of Bellagio %26amp; The Fremont Street Experience are the two most incredible of the free spectacles

The Fountains of Bellagio show happens every 15 minutes from 7pm until midnight. A great place to watch from is the outdoor cafe at Paris, Mon Ami Gabi. %26gt;The show is every half hour from 3-7pm on weekdays, noon-7pm on weekends

The Fremont Street show is every hour on the hour after dark. While you are downtown, and if you're into artifacts and Antiques walk over to Main Street Station, they have an incredible collection from all over the world. A section of the Berlin Wall for one. %26gt;they have brochures with a full list %26amp; map at the check in desk.

~Jack~

.
Reply:You HAVE to visit Mandalay Bay...up at the top there is a little club called Mix. The veiw is amazing! And you have to use the restroom there before you leave...its incredible, trust me!! This is a great spot to start off your evening. If you like wine there is also a crazy little wine bar in Mandalay Bay as well...you have to at least walk by and check it out.

As for shopping there is soooo much in Vegas! Your eyes will be overwhelmed with sights, your credit cards will be smokin, your feet will be sore and youll never want to go home!
Reply:There's shopping at Fashion show mall right next to Treasure Island Hotel (across from the Wynn Hotel) on the Strip, or you can drive or take a taxi or the bus south of the Strip (just past the airport) to the outlet mall. For more shopping, drive south on I-15 to Primm, NV (at the Calif border ... about 45 miles) and there is a big outlet mall and some casinos.

Then there is a mall that local use on Maryland PArkway, about 2 miles East of the strip. Take a cab there.
Reply:the first guy is right. you could go to the fashion show mall. the mall he's talking about thats on maryland parkway is the boulevard mall.
Reply:I always head for Marshall's. Yes, they have one there too and the locals shop there.
