theres 2 types...bendix and girling...your looking at about £25-30 for the lot..a car shop can tell by looking at the front calipers what type they are..if they cant there lying and dont deserve your cash...a back street garage[like me] would chatrge about £40 labour...hope this helps
Reply:Eh? you really don't want to be changing shoes if you don't know what you're doing
Reply:hi there, the simplest way of knowing what size the drums are on the back, just take the back wheel off and you'll see the measurements of the drums - on the drums face, the easiest way of telling you which braking system you have is to open your bonnet and where the brake fluid reservoir is it will either say Bendix or girling, hope this helps,
Reply:Try halfords, just tell them the car you have and they will tell you the info you need and they sell them aswell.
Reply:Try looking for Brake Specialist firms, like EKS for instance, and asking them. If you don't know what you are doing I'd suggest you get someone you know who does to do the job for you. Messing about with brakes when you don't know what you're donig can leave your car a LETHAL WEAPON on the road. If you're still not sure about this go to Halfords or similar store and look in the parts catalogues. Also don't forget to change all pads and shoes otherwise you'll upset the braking system balance and that will cause you worse problems!
Reply:You'll have to take the rear drum off and measure the shoe, or buy both sets and return the one that doesnt work
