Why does my foot keep hurting?

Today in the locker room, I took my shoes off, and the back part of the bottom of my foot really hurts, I dont know what I've done because it didnt hurt last night, and it only hurts in that spot, and it doesnt hurt when i put my shoes on, what do you think it is, and how should i treat it

Why does my foot keep hurting?
i would soak in Epsom salt water to remove pain and help with swelling if there is any followed by 20Min's ice pack 20 heat keep rotating keep foot elevated as much as possible may just have a bruise ,if keeps hurting put ace bandage on it for awhile not to tight ,see if this helps if not go to the doc
Reply:it could be any number of things to be honest. if it's bothering you and you're not able to find relief your best bet is to seek medical advice from a doctor.
Reply:could you have a plantar's wart?

are they new shoes?

try soaking your feet in warm water with epsom salt.

good luck!
Reply:Take it easy when you work out. Try using a heating pad on your foot.
Reply:If it is not discolored try soaking in epsom salt 3xs a day for 3-4 days. If it doesn't improve see a dermatologist. If there is increased pain or any disscoloration see a dr asap. You may have just banged it somehow. Is there any numbness in foot? If so see dr asap.
Reply:It sounds like you may have a pinched nerve or possibly very dry skin. I get a burning sensation on the side of my foot every now and then. The doctor said it was a pinched nerve that will eventually work itself out. This weather is causing dry, itchy skin on my husband and some others I know. The best way to treat it is with hot compresses make from rice put in a stocking, then put the stocking in the microwave for 30 to 40 seconds, then put it around the bottom of your foot. This helps the circulation and eases the pain. Also try rubbing lotion on you foot to help with dry skin.
Reply:Sounds strange but rub your lower leg and foot for specific spots that are sore, if so it is likely caused by trigger points. If not your bones could be misaligned. A chiropractor who uses an activator instead of a bone cruncher is what I would seek out. It sounds like your shoes have the correct arch to help. To learn more about muscles and trigger points - The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies is an excellent resource (not to mention it teaches you how to help yourself).
Reply:stop wearing shoes for a week
